Everyone wants to enjoy their time at a skatepark and understanding a few simple rules makes everyone’s experience better. It will help you or your child to understand how to prevent negativity situations, or worse potentially injuring yourself, child or other skatepark users.

Knowing the skatepark etiquette is one thing. However, beginner riders should also know about how to ride safe. Skateparks can be dangerous so wearing protective gear, checking a scooter for defects and having a lesson is recommended by the International Scooter Association.

Protecting yourself against injury or worse is essential. Riders will not be able to compete at any good event or competition sanctioned by the ISA or national governing body without a helmet. Riders won’t be allow in most decent skateparks without a helmet too. However, helmets should be the minium requirement whenever riding. Even if it’s just travelling to school on a scooter.
